Company Information
Owners of Barnacle’s Island Resort, Charles and Deb Skinner, have been homeowners on North Captiva for 20 years. Charles has been an owner and CEO of several ski resort operations for the past 50 years that have all included vacation rentals, multiple restaurants, gift shops and rental operations. Deb began working with Charles in resort operations in the late 70s. After a period when she lived and worked in Washington DC, she went back to the Minnesota resort and has been working with him since.
When Charles retired from Lutsen Mountains in Minnesota, the two of them decided to spend significantly more time on North Captiva because, as Deb will say, “the island is the only place I know where you completely slow down on the trip over on the water and you begin feeling the inner peace.”
Travel Insurance
Vacations can be disrupted for a variety of reasons including emergencies, death, airline delays, illness, and bad weather. We recommend you purchase travel insurance and we offer it through CSA Travel Protection at 6.95% of your total reservation. It is optional and can be added to your reservation at the time of booking or within 10 days of booking. The insurance will only cover the cost of renting the vacation home.
